Clouds through an airplane window

Often on flights I catch-up on my Bible reading...although there are days like this where the pressures of work can make it so my mind drifts and I have to re-read sections if I really want to gain from Scripture.

Perhaps it is because I usually take an aisle seat -- meaning my row-companion might think I am staring at him or her if I spend too much time looking out the window :-) -- but I find it so easy, even while reading Jesus' words of comfort, to lose track of nature's testimony to a living, loving God that transcends my human ability to 'see.' At least for me, my job is only one of many things that can limit my vision to the four walls around me (or, in this case, the seat back right in front of me); how often I lose sight of what Elisha's servant learned when God opened his eyes and he saw 'the hills full of horses and chariots of fire,' confirming Elisha's assurance that 'those who are with us are more than those who are with them' (2 Kings 6:16-17).

Well, time to get back to reading John -- hopefully remembering the witness of the clouds below me. How about you? If you have taken the red pill, but like all of us still have to spent time in the Matrix, what makes you forget that this is not 'reality'?
